An excellent walk for 14 Severnside Ramblers, starting from the middle of Sand Bay and heading towards Woodspring Priory, Middle Hope and Sand Point - an 8 mile circuit with amazing views in lovely summer conditions - partial cloud and a good breeze. An excellent 10 mile walk from Tetbury. Ten Severnside Ramblers had a varied and interesting walk through the Cotswolds. Thank you, Ken Mill for such an enjoyable day. Claire Cox.

Starting at Piercefield Inn, St Arvans. A woodland walk following part of the Wye Valley Way, then passing a ruined stately home and across parkland, finally some more woodland and farmland.

10 May - Swineford - Kelston a walk led by Ken Mill, photos taken by Claire Cox.
An 8.25 mile walk for 8 Severnside Ramblers starting from Swineford Picnic area, up to Kelston Round Hill via the Bath Racecourse and then back via Kelston and the Bristol Bath Railway path. Thanks to Ken Mill for leading the walk which, although not sunny, was dry and had fantastic views in all directions! Claire Cox.
3 May - Penhow Circular a walk led by Claire Cox, photos taken by Claire Cox.
Today's walk was all about bluebells, birdsong, horses and stiles. Five hardy Severnside Ramblers walked 8.75 miles through woodland and fields over 28 stiles (some badly maintained), with approx 1200 feet of climb! There were lovely views and the sun shone despite the weather forecast! Photos taken by Claire Cox.

5 Apr - Somersetshire Coal Canal a walk led by Geoff Mullett, photos taken by Ken Mill.
10 walkers enjoyed an undulating circuit south of Bath following part of the old coal canal from Combe Hay to Midford with its run of 22 locks and an exciting wet section beneath both the canal and the railway that superseded it. Many thanks to Geoff Mullett for leading this walk. Ken M.

A very enjoyable walk today for 12 Severniside Ramblers starting from Slimbridge, following the River Cam to Frampton on Severn and back along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. We dodged the showers, but it was really very chilly! Thank you Kathy S for such a good walk. Claire C.

This walk follows the probable route Francis Fox Tuckett took to work each day from Frenchay to Baldwin Street in Bristol. He was a 19th century pioneering mountaineer who lived in Frenchay all his life. He walked to keep himself fit for his mountaineering. The walk starts at the Frenchay Village Museum and descends to the River Frome. It then follows the Frome Valley Walkway for much of the route. We emerge into Castle Park and the Bristol Bridge. From there the walks continues up Baldwin Street to The Centre where we caught the Metrobus to Begbrook. From Begbrook we continued the walk through Begbrook Park to return to the Museum. A very interesting 7.5 mile walk from Frenchay, following the River Frome through Eastville Park to Castle Green and the Centre, returning by bus! Thanks to Don for all the bits of history and information along the way. Claire C.

A misty, but dry, 8 mile walk for 13 Severnside Ramblers - starting from Sherston High Street, we crossed fields to Westonbirt Arboretum and back round to end at the Angel Cafe for refreshments! Thank you, Helen for an excellent walk! Clare C.
1 Mar - Box and By Brook Valley walk led by Geoffrey Poole. Todays walk around Box. Not only did we see the first butterfly of the year, but some also enjoyed the first ice cream!

Friday Amble - An excellent turn out - 25 members and friends enjoyed this leisurely circular walk around the docks, all hard surfaces (no mud!). We stopped at the Underfall Yard Café for coffee. Many thanks to Bob S for leading this walk. Ken M.

An excellent turnout of 11 Severnside Ramblers on a day when the forecast was dire! This walk offers amazing views, but there were none today. However, we managed to avoid the rain for most of the walk and everyone seemed to enjoy our outing! Claire C.
