Severnside Ramblers

Thinking about joining Severnside Ramblers?

Rambling is a great way to stay fit and active, meet like minded people and connect with the great outdoors.

Non-members and visitors are welcome on our walks. Children are welcome on appropraite walks but must be accompanied by a parent or gaurdian. Please check with the Walk Leader on suitability of walks for children. Our volunteers do not have the necessary training, expertise or qualifications to supervise unaccompanied walkers under the age of 18.

Dogs on walks – It is entirely at the discretion of the walk leader whether dogs may be brought on walks, so please check with the leader BEFORE bringing a dog. All dogs must be accompanied by their owner, who is responsible for their care at all times.

What to expect when you join a Ramblers group walk
You’ll receive a warm welcome, follow a well-planned route and walk in good company.

A Ramblers group walk is a great way to get out exploring. Here’s what to expect when you join us.
We’re Britain’s biggest and most vibrant walking community with 500 groups across England, Scotland and Wales. These include a growing number for younger walkers so there’s bound to be a group nearby to suit you. Being a member of the Ramblers means you can walk with multiple groups where you live or explore somewhere new while you’re away. It opens up a wealth of walking experiences: discover different types of walks, meet new people, and walk on different days, wherever you are. More information

Try us out!

New members are always welcome to the group. If you think you might be interested, you can come along on two or three walks to see if you enjoy walking with us. You can find details of our upcoming walks by viewing our current programme (see side panel). Generally, you don't need to contact the Walk Leader before hand unless there's a restriction on the number of walkers. You can just turn up on the day or contact the leader to learn more about the walk and to let them know your details. Our meeting points are:

  • for Friday Ambles we meet at Aldi, Brook Way, Bradley Stoke, BS32 9DA
  • for Sunday walks we meet at the Aztec West Management Centre, Blue Zone, off Park Avenue, Aztec West, BS32 4TD
