Thinking about joining Servernside to Get Out More -
It's as easy as 1,2,3
Non-members and visitors - are welcome on our walks.
If you've never been on one of our walks before and are wondering what to do, don't panic. Children are welcome on appropriate walks but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Just follow the simple steps below. (Click on each step title for more information):
Have a look through the walks on our walks-programme and find one that you fancy doing. We have a variety of walks and of varying lengths and difficulty to suit most abilities.
Generally, you don't need to contact the walk-leader beforehand, unless the walk details specifically state that (e.g. for a weekend away). You can just turn up on the day. Make a note of the "Depart time" from Aldi car park Brook Way Bradley Stoke BS32 9DA, and make sure you get there before that time. The walk-leader will make themselves known before the start of the walk.
Step 3 - Join the RAMBLERS
Our group policy is to allow new walkers to come along to 3 “taster” walks for free. This gives you the chance to find out if our group is for you. If you want to keep coming along then all we ask is that you join the Ramblers, as we're a Ramblers - funded group.
Benefits of joining Ramblers:
· the opportunity to be a full member of the Group, knowing that your subscription is keeping the group going and helping it to provide the activities you enjoy
· discretionary discounts at many outdoor clothing and equipment stores on presentation of your membership card (10-20%)
· the Ramblers continue to protect and improve the path network throughout the country, providing great access to the countryside for walkers.
