Committee Roles

The Committee meets about once a quarter, usually at a members house. Meetings are informal, usually with tea and biscuits. There is an agenda just to make sure we cover everything we need to discuss. Usually some actions for committee members to follow up.  Link to Roles.
What does the Committee do?

The committee work to promote the aims of the Ramblers to potential members in the Severnside Area. This is about promoting walking as an attractive hobby and in turn increase the membership of the Ramblers. We need to keep our members informed of events and issues of interest.
How are the Committee appointed?

The Group meets every November for it’s Annual General Meeting. At this meeting the Committee is elected by the Members of Severnside. We usually ask people to contact us in advance if they are interested in being on  the Committee. The Committee needs to be representative of the Group.
How much are they paid?

The work undertaken by Committee Members is on a voluntary basis.
Can I join the Committee?

The Committee roles are placed up for election each year. If you are interested in applying we ask that you inform the Secretary in advance.
When is the AGM?

The 2011 AGM will be held on Sunday  20 November at the Jubilee Hall, Alveston.
We hope to see you there.
